It was Mardi Gras 2019. Three Super Troupers were partying at a parade when a dance krewe shimmied by. One girl said to the other, “We can dance! We can jive! We should have the time of our lives!” And thus, the idea of Voulez Krewe, an ABBA themed dance krewe, was born.

We're an ABBA-themed, gender and ability inclusive, 21+ dance krewe that is incorporated as a 501(c)(7) organization.

Many of our members serve on committees that make important decisions, like what our costumes will look like, what causes we want to support, and what dance moves we'll bust as we shimmy down St. Charles Avenue.

Membership
Mamma Mia! We only have a few open spots for the 2026 Mardi Gras Season. Sign up for our mailing list (above) to receive updates when the application goes live in April. We'll conduct interviews in May, there are no auditions.
The Fernandos are our support krewe at parades and practices. They hype the crowd, carry waters, and feel the beat of their tambourines! Being a Fernando is a great way to be active in our Voulez Krewe community. If you're signed up for email updates, we'll use that mailing list to call out for Fernando volunteers throughout the year.
